Typical workshop offerings, 8-10 participants:

• Foraging and Papermaking Taller

  Learn how to responsibly forage site specific plant fibers, engage with the history of the plant material and turn the plants into handmade paper.

• Papermaking Fundamentals Taller

  Learn the fundamentals of papermaking from beater operation (using our traveling hollander beater), to hand beating methods, to using and making plant-based additives, to pigmenting and sheet formation techniques.

• Fiber Lab Taller

  Learn how to recycle your own materials to create handmade paper. Old clothes/sheets, junk mail, yard waste, etc.

• Technique Taller

  Deepen your papermaking knowledge with workshops that focus on a specific technique like:

  • pulp painting

  • blowouts

  • pulp printing

  • sculptural papermaking

  • DIY paper studio set up
